
Cynthia Weill is the author of the First Concepts in Mexican Folk Art series.(Cinco Puntos Press an imprint of Lee & Low.)These books use the folk arts of Mexico to explain basic concepts such as colores, opposites and modes of transport to young children in a bilingual format. The folk art pieces from this series have been acquired by the Field Museum of Chicago where they form part of the permanent MesoAmerican collection. Cindy holds a doctorate from Teachers College Columbia University.
