Lisa Tolin is not a rock star, but she can jam on a mean (computer) keyboard. She is a journalist and editor who has worked for major news organizations. How to Be a Rock Star is her debut picture book. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and two young sons, who provided the inspiration for the book.
