Calmenson, Stephanie

How To Cheer Up a Friend
Stephanie Calmenson

Stephanie Calmenson has written over 100 books for children. She’s the author of DINNER AT THE PANDA PALACE, the beloved counting book and book of inclusion, and the just-published HOW TO CHEER UP A FRIEND. She’s written lots of books about dogs including MAY I PET YOUR DOG?; DOZENS OF DACHSHUNDS; and OODLES OF POODLES AND DOODLES. (Each includes her dachshund Harry and, yes, he shows up with the poodles and doodles!) She writes early chapter books, including the funny OUR PRINCIPAL series and, with Magic School Bus author Joanna Cole, THE ADVENTURES OF ALLIE AND AMY series. Stephanie’s books have been called “marvelous” (PW), “hilarious” (SLJ), “sweet, funny, and right on the mark” (Booklist). Most important, kids love them!
