Gail Carson Levine is best known for Ella Enchanted, which won a Newbery honor and was made into a major motion picture. Gail has written twenty-six more books for children. Her latest, The Unusuals, is a medieval murder mystery based on three actual murders that took place in England in 1277. Although most of her books are fantasies, this is her third historical novel, and she’s also written poetry, nonfiction, and picture books.
