J.J. MYERS GRABENSTEIN is the coauthor, with her husband, Chris Grabenstein, of the highly acclaimed middle grade novel Shine! as well as the super silly “Stinky’s Stories” series of early reader chapter books.
Being married to a children’s book author got J.J. thinking about the books she read as a kid. There was one story she wished she had read but she couldn’t because the book didn’t exist yet. So, she told Chris the story and they decided to write it together. That story was, and is, Shine!
She is also an award-winning audiobook narrator and stage actress who appeared in Broadway tours and starred Off-Broadway in the musical comedy NUNSENSE. J.J. and Chris live in New York City with their three rescue animals – two cats and one dog.
