Amy Sarig King (A.S. King) is an award-winning novelist, a poet, a public speaker, a professor, and a lot of other things. She is the author of Attack of the Black Rectangles, which Kirkus Reviews called “a searingly relevant opus to intellectual freedom,” and her most recent novel for adults and young adults was Pick the Lock, which BCCB called “a worthy literary heir to feminist novels like The Stepford Wives.”
In 2026, she will release It Came from the Creek, about standing up to bullies, loving baseball, and the dangers of toxic waste.
When Amy’s not hiking through the woods or making delicious food, she travels the world talking to people about literacy and the mental health of young people.
